Live Video - Solar Panels and Generators

LIVE Q&A - 28/10/2016

LIVE Q&A Transcript

IAN: Hi it’s Ian from iTechworld and we are doing our live question and answers session, our first one. A lot of people have already emailed in and asked us some questions about generator range, I think a lot of people know that we sell solar panels but we also sell generators as well. One of the most popular ones we have is this one right here. It’s a 2 stroke 2KVA Mighty Mouse Generator. The main benefit of this is it only weighs eight and a half kilos so most walk away with one of these in hand. It’s not heavy, it’s not a big item to carry around AND it packs a punch with 2KVA of power. So that’s the Mighty Mouse on special right now from its usual 599 and we just put it down to 399 dollars. That’s one of our best sellers at the moment.

PHIL: It’s also free shipping on that one, Australia wide! Anywhere!

IAN: The next one, a lot of people have messaged us about out 2.2KVA generator. This one’s 4 stroke and has dual 15 amp outlets on it and it comes with a kit so you can charge your battery directly straight from the generator. So this is pretty much the most popular one we have. We are going to start this one up because a lot of people want to hear it going. If you come with me outside we will start it up.

PHIL: That’s the kit, you plug that straight into the generator and then you have 2 alligator clips, one for negative one for positive to charge up your 12-volt battery. Let’s go outside and watch Ian start up this generator.

IAN: So I’ve switched it on. So as you can probably tell, it’s really quiet, this is the only place to buy it in Australia. Starts first time, every time with the pull start. Yeah so it’s really quiet it’s only 58 decibels you can hardly hear it.

PHIL: Let’s go back inside!

IAN: Have we got any questions? None? How many people are watching? One person? Hi, one person who is watching! Do you have any questions? Is it my mum?

PHIL: Could be my mum! Do we have a name?

DANA: What’s your product of the week?

IAN: Product of the week is 120 Watt semi-flexible solar panel we have designed and prototyped this one here in Western Australia the made benefit of this one is that it has American solar cells. If you look at this one, this is our 120-watt solar panel with German solar cells, and this is a 120-watt panel with American solar cells. Even though they both do the exact same power output, the size difference is huge. This is 1.2 metre’s and this one is just over a metre.

PHIL: Not to mention the width, 2 ml thickness, can bend it and weighs one and a half kilos. This one has about 3 and a half centimetres thickness and weight about 10 kilos and it’s not going to bend.

IAN: So if you’ve got a pop top or you’re worried about weight on your caravan. This is the one to get. Definitely this one! It only weighs one and a half kilos compared to this one weighs about 10 kilos. The price on this one is about 299 dollars, but if you buy two of them, you get a third on for free. So it works out about 199 each panel which is ridiculous, it’s probably too cheap.

PHIL: And there is fee postage on that Australia wide. So if you order now we can ship that off in about half an hour.

IAN: You’ve got half an hour until the postman comes. The other product that we have is our 160, have our range of folding solar panels. One of our most popular ones is our 160-watt portable folding panel, this one comes with NPPT, controller, 5 metres of cable, alligator clips, Anderson plug and a heavy duty bag. Some of the bags you will find from other solar panel manufacturers or distributors, the bag is almost like it’s made from paper. Our bags are all filled with foam, they are heavy duty. You can rip them or damage them. The handle from the solar panel comes out here so you never put any weight on the bag. And the handle on our solar panels is collapsible so it doesn’t break off. All our fittings are stainless steel, marine grade and aluminium is on the legs and the actual frame as well, hail proof. The way they test is they actually fire something at it at 500 miles per hour, like a ball and that's how they test to make sure it’s all hail proof. Yeah, these panels are pretty awesome. You probably see these most going for about 500 bucks but because we are the manufacturer of these panels we can actually do them for 229 dollars. You cut out the middle man when you buy directly from iTechworld.

PHIL: The Power Specialist!

IAN: Is there anyone else on you want to ask questions?

DANA: There is still one person

IAN: One person? Any other questions?

DANA: I have a question! What’s the number of question that customers ask you guys?

IAN: How many solar panels do I need, is the probably the number one question customers ask us all day every day. And the answer is you should stock up on as many solar panels as you can. When you think you need 120-watt you should probably buy 160 watts. It just means when it’s cloudy, overcast or you’re not getting the conditions you still got that extra power over what you’re using. That's the main question.

PHIL: You can never have too much power because the regulator will stop the battery from overcharging, so it will keep you battery full and you don’t have to worry about it. All our regulators are fully automatic and that’s it, forget about it. It will keep it full.

IAN: Any other questions? Anyone else watching?

DANA: Um no.

PHIL: All right, have a great weekend, see you next time from the Power Specialists at iTechworld!

Live Video - Jump Starter, Solar Panels and Sat TV

LIVE VIDEO

TRANSCRIPT

IAN: Hi! It’s our second question and answer service on Facebook. We got a lot of questions after we finished last week. One of the questions was to talk more about our jump starter. So this is our 900 amp jump starter. There isn’t a vehicle that this it will not start this can produce 900 amps. We believe this is the only one of its kind. We are the only people who have something as large as this no one else has a 900 amp jump starter. That’s just the basic function of it, that it can jump start 900 amps, the other feature it has a 20 amp battery which means you can run anything it’s connected from. So in the pack, we give you fittings to run any laptop in Australia you can run directly from this. Any smartphone, any tablet you can run directly from this. We even put in a socket so you can plug in a 12-volt fridge directly to this unit and that a 20 amp battery. So you can run a fridge from this. Which is incredible! The other question is that Edwards asked about a solar panel and he had an issue with his regulator and what we found was when we put on the alligator clips and directly to the battery we found that the panel works correctly. So there may have been an issue in some of his wiring on his Anderson plug because there was no actual issue with the solar panel, just a wiring issue. The other question we got was from Steve in Queensland. He wanted to know which satellite package is the one he should get. We have the complete package now that will work everywhere so its guaranteed 100% to work anywhere in Australia. So there isn’t a spot in Australia where this will not work. It’s about to be on our website, it will $599 and it comes with every single thing you need. The other question we got was from David in WA, sent us an email about solar panels for his boat and which one he needs. We recommend the flexible solar panels. It’s so light weight it’s designed to go on top of boat roofs. They are 100% water proof, they won’t get corrosion or damage from the salt water sea or anything. Nothing, nothing can damage these ones. Is there anyone asking any questions.

PHIL: No

IAN: I’m trying to think about some other questions we have had. Someone messaged us asking what channels you can get on the VAST system. The VAST system is specific with a Travellers registration to what state you registered in. If you register is WA you get WA channels, if you register is SA you get SA channels. That’s the way the VAST system works. A couple other people were asking the difference between the folding panels and the flexible panels. The folding panels come with German certified cells which were the best cells available. The flexible panels come with American Solar cells which are now considered slightly better than the German ones. So we only have two different types of cells. They are both classed as A grade which are the best cells you can get. That's the American certified and the German certified.

PHIL: That’s pretty much it

IAN: No one’s watching?

PHIL: We’ve got watchers.

IAN: Anyone wants to ask a question? Fire away!

PHIL: Just post it online.

IAN: If you think of something after this video send us an email at service@itechworld.com.au. Or post it on the Facebook link that you’re watching right now. Send us a message on Facebook, give us a call 08 9472 7200. You will actually speak to myself I’ll answer the phone. If you have got anything else to talk about, you can ring, discuss. Anything at all!

PHIL: Otherwise, until next week.

IAN: Otherwise, I’ll do this again next week and keep doing this every week until people start asking questions. Goodbye!
