This is the beez kneez of inverters. I have tested out many others that tried and failed to start my compressor on the back of the truck (Silverado 3500). This one does it easily without straining and starts from the ground. (no climbing on the back tray after initial prestart).
although its relatively new, I certainly would recommend it to those who are serious about practicality and performance.

I am very pleased with my 5kva Redback generator.

Capable of running air con and microwave at the same time in my Jaco Heritage caravan.Unknowingly I also had the electric hot water running at the same times the generator was working fairly hard and showing an output of4 kw.When I turned the hot water it handled the other two easily.

I love this genie, good price, runs quiet, i use my genie nearly everyday, i have to have my coffee, it runs my coffee machine, runs the air conditioner, the wheels and handle are a great idea, but the wheels are way to small, they are fine on flat cement path, but where i go is out in the country so you don’t have level ground so you can’t wheel it away from the van, cause it turns into a back hoe and need a grab handle to lift it up so you can pull out the handle, make the wheels bigger for uneven surfaces, besides those little issues its a great genie and i have told other people where i got it.

Received in excellent condition. Followed out instructions and virtually started after a couple of pulls. Ran a little ought for a few seconds there settled down. Loaded it with 15OO with load
and it ran sweetly and easily. Tried out the remote starting and very pleased with the results. Since loaded it with up to 3,000w and runs well. Yet to reach the 10 hrs. Pleased with weight and ease of shifting.

We live Off-Grid and our solar system has completely died so to get us over the hurdle until our new system is installed, we purchased the RB4 Generator. It took a few turn overs to get started initially but I'd say that was just the fuel that had to get through. Now its been running for a total of 60+ hours not continually of course but more like 3hrs on, 2hrs off and really hasn't missed a beat. I did the first oil change after 20 hours and replaced the spark plug even though the old one was still pretty good so I've keep it for ron. The service kit I purchased along with the RB4 really made the oil change and refilling a breeze, I'd highly recommend it. The only hiccup we've had with the RB4 is that when we had the fridge and a few portable devices on and then the washing machine on the same lead it cut the power and the display read OVER. I wouldn't have thought that was too many things plugged in, but to rectify this we just used the other 15A socket in the RB4, split up our appliances across the two sockets and this has all worked like a charm. No issues or complaints since. Note to Self: before using the remote control read the instructions first......once read you won't have an issue and the remote control makes life so much easier. Thanks iTechworld.......Love it!

Just finished the Run In period, changed the oil (surprisingly not too black). Now running the Caravan aircon in heating mode. Doing it easily. During the 20 hours running in over several weeks, started first time every time. Very impressive unit.
My wish list is for an easy lift way to get it up and into the back of my 4WD on own. At 35+kgs it's not easy.
Can't be happier with the Itech telephone and online service. Excellent work. Delivery was so quick to Melbourne, I was gobsmacked....

After running in the Genni I had a problem so took it back to Itechworld. The guys were great.
The problem was the spark plug lead had disconnected from the spark plug. I wasn’t told what the problem was because I pick it up the next work day late in the afternoon and they were closing shop so the guy that bought it out didn’t know what the problem was as all their computers were turned off. A few weeks later when I went to use it I had the same problem as befor so I rang Up Itechworld and they told me what was wrong the first time so I checked and it was the same problem so, problem was easy rectified.
Do other than the spark plug lead problem, I am very happy with the genni and the quality of the service from Itechworld staff. I have since bought 3 of their lithium batteries and am very happy with them.

I believe unit to be the best on the market. Handles heavy load. Full tank of petrol lasts 7.5 hrs. Only negative is the weight. With a full tank of petrol it is awkward to move.

Challenges With the Redback Generator
We had a few niggly challenges with the generator at the beginning. It wouldnt start as we didnt put oil in it. After putting the oil in...First crank it started....
It was clunky and misfired randomly until we completed the 20hr run in cycle.
After performing the first service at 20hr, changed the oil & spark plug, what a different machine it became.
The technical team at Itechworld are great to deal with and so helpful.
I can honestly say its a great machine, not as quiet as my 2000w Honda but the Redback is twice the capacity, slightly bigger in dimensions but has remote start that was a big deal for me.
The Redback will run my Aircon & Hotwater & Microwave NO problems, eventhough i dont need to run everything on it, it can handle it.
If your considering buying this machine, follow the instructions manual and give the machine the full 20hrs break in period and do the first service before putting heavy load on it.

We used the Redback 5kva generator today for the first time. We were in a remote location & had to rely on the Redback to power refrigeration & lighting. At times we had a kettle & a soup warmer powered up as well & the generator work well powering all appliances in the food truck. It ran for 6 hours using about half tank of fuel. It is quiet, emits virtually no fumes.... We need reliability & so far the Redback is proving to be a great asset.

Redback RB4 on a Yacht
I purchased the RB4 for my 38' sailing catamaran yacht. The purpose of the generator is to power a Stella Watermaker installed on the yacht that produces 80Litres fresh water an Hour.
The Generator was run in, for its mandatory 20 Hours and then given its first service before taking it onto the yacht
I had my reservations that the RB4 would not be up to the task running the Watermaker because it has two Pumps, Low pressure drawing 0.78Kw and the High Pressure Pump Drawing 1.5Kw with high current draw at start up.
During Commissioning and Testing of the Watermaker, my concerns were proven to be unfounded.
The RB4 handled the heavy power draw during start up of the pumps and when the pressure was taken up to 800PSI working pressure to produce fresh water from the Pressure Membrane.
The water maker working at working pressure producing fresh water drew constant 2.8Kw off the RB4 Generator which it handled admirably.
The start up current draw obviously being much higher, also of which the RB4 handled well.
It is only early days yet but hopefully the Redback RB4 will prove to be a reliable generator for our planned cruise up the West coast in the coming weeks.
