Used it twice on 2 x 120 Itecx 120 amp lithium batteries. Did the job no worries. One thing I did not like was the heat it gives off. 55-60 degrees celcius on the bottom of the unit. Too hot to pick up. This was using the unit in the shade of the carport on a 31 degree day. I installed 2 x 20mm pieces of aluminum square tube held with 4 self tapping screws to give the unit air circulation underneath. Never had a charger that runs so hot. I also have another 40 amp 240volt charger (40 amp., not Itech) and it does not run anywhere near as hot. I would like to hear Itechs thoughts on this heat...
fitted neatly into the camper where the old charger had been mounted I replaced the insulated nuts with brass nuts so could nip them up tight for off road use. this was easy to do. the system worked well with battery now sitting in float waiting for use
Just what I wanted excellent
I have two other chargers in the shed, this is now my primary one.Very happy
Great product. Great service.delivered in a reasonable time.
the 40amp charger replaces a no name one in my off road caravan which boost charges 3x 120amp ITECH lithium batteries. whether i'm charging from my gen set or a powered site it very quickly tops up the batteries and goes to float mode. It is very noticable that the 40amp itech charger tops the batteries to a higher level.
Just fitted my ITECH BC-DC 40 and BC 40 Battery Charger plus 1000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter all connected to the ITECH 100 Amp hr Lithium Battery into my recently revamped Camper Tray Body that is on the back of my 79 Series Toyota Single Cab Ute, everything fits perfectly and neatly and works a treat. One very happy customer.
That build quality is great. Brought batteries up to charge very quickly. Y Would have preferred some cables with eyelet connection to mount to batteries permanently
You guys are great I bought the wrong charger and with no hesitation you exchanged it for the right One thank you I tech world the BC40 works awesome Along with our 2 x120 battery’s ,dc dc charger and 1000 watt inverter we are off grid . Cheers Pete
