FAQs
What is the maximum current rating for the 120Amp Anderson plug?
The 120Amp Anderson plug is made to safely carry high current loads up to 120A when matched up with suitable cable size. Using the right gauge wiring helps the connector deliver reliable power without overheating.
Can I use the 120Amp Anderson plug for solar applications?
Yes. The 120Amp Anderson plug is mostly used in solar setups to link up panels, batteries and charging equipment. It promises a solid, low-resistance connection so your system can stay charged up when running off-grid.
How do I properly connect the Anderson plug to my battery?
Crimp the supplied contact pins securely onto the correct cable size, then insert the contacts into the housing until they lock into place. After that, connect the positive and negative leads to your battery terminals. Always check the polarity is correct before powering up any equipment.
What are the benefits of using a genderless design in Anderson plugs?
A genderless design means both connectors are identical and simply slide together. With a 120Amp Anderson plug, there’s no male or female side to match, which reduces wiring mistakes and makes quick connections easier, even in low-light or roadside situations.
Are there any accessories available for the 120Amp Anderson plug?
Yes. Protective covers, mounting brackets and extension leads are often used alongside a 120Amp Anderson plug to keep connections secure and protected from dust, vibration and weather while travelling or working outdoors.
