When I decided to update my caravans electrics to lithium (see earlier blog) I knew the products used had to be Australian made.

There are a number of companies which meet the criteria and after some research I decided on Itechworld.

All was well with the world for several trips without a hint of trouble…….until one fateful morning I noticed an un-anticipated drop in voltage.

“Strange,” I thought because the van was at home and, as is my practice, it was connected to mains power.

A quick check soon showed the problem. The BC40 battery charger had apparently failed with no green lights illuminated.

A check of the 240v mains power didn’t show a problem, unplugging the input cable on the unit showed power available, with the fuses checked and tested it was clear that the problem lay within the unit and it would need to be returned to Itechworld for further in-depth testing.

I made arrangements with Itechworld for its return. Within days I received an email from them advising the problem lay within the main circuit board and since the unit was more than six months out of warranty they would send me a quote for the repair or replacement.

What happened next made me grateful that I had selected Itechworld to supply the products used.

I received an email back from them advising that although the product was well out of warranty they would supply the new updated BC40 with 12 months warranty for an exceptionally good price and they would pay the freight charges.
