I only purchased my 2nd JS 80 about a month ago and just last week while we were travelling remotely in Far North Queensland, we had the misfortune of experiencing a cranking start battery failure. There was no way we could have notified anyone. We had no terrestrial phone or internet coverage, so we just dealt with the situation we found ourselves in and used the JS80 every time we needed to start the vehicle.
Recharging the JS 80 was by way of plugging in to our onboard inverter while the car was running. I'd get at least 4x JS80 starts before the starter health indicator LED lights reduced from 4 lights (full) to 3 light (3/4 full). So, then a recharge from the inverter was in order to keep me mobile. Even though I probably could have got another 10 jumpstarts out of it, I really was not in a position to test it to that extent.
My first JS80 did not have a protective case. My new JS80 was purchased with a ZipUp protective storage case. I love it.

4.0 litre Toyota LandCruiser HJ75 single cab chassis hunting way up past Woods Point. Overnight temperature 1 degree Celsius and had a parasitic power drain empty both batteries. Clipped KS80 to battery and away we go. Will always have my JS80 onboard.
I first used it to start my 3.2 Diesel Ranger two weeks ago. It had a dead battery that only clicked when I turned on the ignition. The JS80 started it instantly. The whole unpack, connect, start, disconnect and repack took about a minute. Quickest jump start ever for me. Used it again earlier this week on a different vehicle with out recharge. Again, started the vehicle with ease. Perhaps I could have gone for a JS60 but I like to know that the product would not fail in an emergency.
I work in construction, earthmoving company and can't praise this jumpstarter enough. I have jumpstarted rollers, backhoes, trucks ute's it's amazing how good it is. If i had anything to pick on is I'd like the jumper leads to be a little longer because some machines where they have the battery it's hard to get to and not much room to fit the unit in and hook the cables . Besides that I wouldn't leave home without it money well spent
