Battery Chargers

Battery Chargers Built for Real-World Aussie Conditions

iTechworld battery chargers are engineered to keep your power systems running strong. If you're charging up at home, on the road, or off-grid, we’ve spent hours engineering what we think is the best lithium battery charger on the market. It’s purpose-built for Australia’s harsh environments, so much so that we rigorously test it to make sure.

From LiFePO4 to AGM, our AC to DC battery chargers use true multi-stage charging algorithms (bulk, absorption, float, equalisation). What does this mean for you? It means rapid charge times and the longest possible battery life. Whether you’re plugged into mains, working with solar, or using a generator, these chargers are all about adapting to your needs.

Looking to charge one of our other battery solutions? Check out our full range of 12v battery chargers for portable and vehicle setups, or browse our advanced DCDC battery chargers for dual battery systems and off-grid applications. Whatever you need, trust the power experts to get it right, first time around.

What Makes iTechworld Battery Chargers Different?

iTechworld focuses on performance, safety, and Australian-tested durability. That doesn’t change when it comes to our battery chargers either - here’s what you shop with us:

  • Multi-Source Input: Our AC to DC chargers allow you to charge from mains AC power and (on supported models) from solar panels or alternators.

  • Smart Multi-Stage Charging: Adjust current and voltage to suit your battery’s state. This keeps your battery running at its best for longer.

  • Lithium-Ready: Our chargers are fully compatible with LiFePO4, AGM, and lead-acid batteries, perfect for caravans, campers, and 4WD setups.

  • Safety Comes First: From recovering from Safe Mode when connected to our chargers, to built-in protections for over-voltage, under-voltage and more, you’re always in safe hands.

  • Built Tough for Australia: Our engineers put our products to the test locally so we know they can handle dust, heat, vibration, and salt air.

  • Easy-to-Read Display: Digital screens and LED indicators keep you informed on charge status, voltage, current, and any faults.

  • Available in High Output Models: Looking for some more oomph? Our 240V 40 amp battery charger and 240V 40 amp lithium battery charger options give you rapid, reliable charging for large battery banks.

  • Aussie Support Guaranteed: With us, there’s no scripts and no off-shore call centres, just Australian-based support when you need it most.

FAQs

How do I properly charge a car battery using a charger?

The first step is to connect the charger to the battery (positive to positive, negative to negative), then plug in the charger. Select the right battery type and charge mode, then our smart chargers take care of the rest.

What is the typical time required to charge a car battery with a charger?

This all comes down to battery capacity and charger output. A 100Ah battery using a 10A charger may take around 10–12 hours, but a faster charger will cut this time right down.

Can a completely dead battery be recharged, and how?

If it’s not damaged, then yes. iTechworld chargers can bring lithium batteries out of Safe Mode automatically.

What is a trickle charger, and how does it differ from a standard battery charger?

A trickle charger provides a very low current to maintain battery charge over time, which is the best option when it comes to storage. A standard charger cycles through multiple charging stages and is better for routine use.

Is it better to charge a battery at a lower amperage (e.g., 2 amps) or a higher amperage (e.g., 10 amps)?

Lower amps are gentler and good if you’re looking for less maintenance. Higher amps charge faster and are better if larger batteries or quick turnarounds are the focus.

How do I determine the appropriate charger size for my battery?

Divide the battery's amp hour (Ah) rating by 10 for a safe charge rate. For example, a 100Ah battery goes well with a 10A charger.

What is the optimal charging current for different types of batteries?

For lithium: 0.2–0.5C (20–50% of capacity in Ah). For AGM/lead-acid: 0.1–0.2C. Our chargers have profiles tailored for each battery type.

What are the differences between AC to DC chargers and DC to DC chargers?

AC to DC chargers use mains power; DCDC battery chargers use vehicle alternator or solar input. iTechworld offers both, each with multi-stage charging and lithium compatibility.

Can I leave the battery connected in the vehicle while charging it?

Yes, as long as the charger has protection features (all iTechworld models do). Just make sure the ventilation is good and keep an eye on the voltage.

How frequently should I charge my battery to maintain its health?

At least once every 1–2 months if not in use. Lithium batteries should not be stored flat; topping up to ~50% charge is ideal.

What safety precautions should I take when using a battery charger?

Use in well-ventilated areas, connect cables correctly, and choose chargers with thermal and voltage protection. All iTechworld chargers are safety-optimised and tested rigorously.

Can I use the same charger for different battery types, such as lead-acid and lithium-ion?

Yes, if it has selectable charging profiles, like every iTechworld charger. Just set it to match the battery type.

What features should I look for in a battery charger for long-term maintenance?

Look for smart multi-stage profiles, trickle maintenance mode, temperature compensation, and lithium compatibility.

How does temperature affect the battery charging process?

Extreme cold slows charging; high heat can overcharge or degrade batteries. Our chargers use thermal compensation to adjust charging safely.
