Seems OK but if the battery drops into safe mode, I would expect that the controller could action the battery into gear. Instead, there is an alternate method by iTechworld involving other batteries if you have them. I also think the connectors could be better and accomodate a higher grade. Similarly, I think having multiple solar inputs would be beneficial.

I have two off them .thay are super . Have them on old battery's that would not change up . These have done o good job of changing them back up . Maybe can save some more old battery's ?? Thanks for such a good service and good solar charge contrler

The controller is working well I have 600w of panel on the roof of the van running through the controller. We are happy that the 120AH Battery will be kept over 50% charged while remote camping.

Good product. It had significantly increased the amount bankable solar power. I run it with a 350W panel which feeds a total 315 amps of Auxillary FLA batteries plus it tops up my cranking battery and it's companion under-bonnet 115A SLA deep cycle accessories battery. I like the fact that I still have room to add another approx 200w panel if I choose.
I recommend this product and find I have received a high quality product at a very competitive price.
To make it even better would be a more comprehensive manual which includes details like the screen presentation of when the charger is enacting the different charge states (eg.bulk/float/desulfation).

The photo shows both the 40A MPPT solar charge controller and the 240V 40A charger. It's 7am, with a low morning sun and the solar controller is charging at about 4A with the fridge cycling at 5.6A. As soon as the fridge shuts down the solar controller will boost the 200Ah battery. Only problem with setting the unit up, the instructions weren't specific on how to set the device, so I rang iTechworld and they told me.

The 40amp solar controller appears to do the job. I think it needs to be able to display the incoming voltage from the panel, if it does, I can't figure out how. More importantly it would be excellent to have the display show FOUR digits (i.e. 2 decimal places) given the shallow discharge curve of the Lithium batteries. This would enable a more sensible and user-friendly SOC at a glance. As it is with one decimal point on the screen, the SOC between 80% and 40% is very uncertain.

We have finally got the MPPT 40A solar regulator installed in the caravan, at the same time we installed two more solar panels which brought us up to 640watts of solar power from 250watts. The itech solar regulator is great. It shows you all the functions that you wish to know and looks very stylish in the caravan. Eventually we will update our two 120AH AGM batteries for 2 itech 120X lithium batteries. The guys at itechworld are great to deal with and have valuable information to pass on to you should you have any questions. Thank you itechworld.

I have the two mppt’s connected to two separate groups of solar panels (405&380w), after a couple of phone calls back to ITechworld I had them up and running connected to two 200 amp hour ITechworld batteries. I drop on average around 70 amps over night and the system with reasonable sun is recharging in about 3 hours with no other inputs.

Really love my 30A unit which prompted me to purchase the 40A unit for my van build. It's been sitting in its box for a couple of months waiting for panels to be installed. So yesterday, reminded by your request for review, I got around to installing it.
Big fail. Connected battery, all good, set battery type, connected load, works, turns on and off. Connected solar, Nada. Disconnect panels and check voltage, no problem, 19ish V. Connect again measure V at controller terminals, 0V. Disconnect and swap in my Renogy mppt unit (which I dislike and keep as a spare) and all good. So until I can get this one repaired/replaced review cannot be too positive.

It is a good piece of traditional gear. There is one ancillary issue - remote readout! I have always viewed iTechWorld as being a leading technology edge company. I have bought a number of their products and never disappointed. But the solar management charger does not have remote readout ability or Bluetooth connected app for remotely monitoring. A big mistake as for a caravaner, in this day and age, it is essential. Major suggestion for iTechWorld.
