This item was purchased to replace one exactly the same in our caravan which was giving problems which after a process of elimination proved to be a intermittent wiring problem which has now been rectified, so to date have not used this regulator so will be keeping as a spare in the unlikely event of any future problems,

The unit works but the setup is extremely clunky and difficult. It is not an intuitive menu system and selecting setting sub menus is way too complex. I love itech products but this one almost seen me scrap it. It still does not tell me if anything is being processed from the panels but because I have a shunt on the battery I can see it is working. Otherwise I would have no idea if it was. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this one, but every other itech world product I have I fully recommend.

Caravan is in a carport and we have had little sun in Cairns for weeks so it is hard for me to gauge the performance of the controller. I do think that the instruction manual needs updating as instructions on navigating the main menu are wrong and confusing. Comments that I have seen online indicate that other people also have found the same.

Seems to be more comparable with the 2x Lithium 120’s I purchased. The existing Voltech system that was Factory Blue Sky was causing problems.

After receiving one faulty unit a new one was sent to me. A replacement unit was promptly dispatched to me . I thought this was good service and was appreciated.The new one is operating as it should. The only comment I can make is that the operating manual is miss leading with the instructions for scrolling through the main menu. Only button A scrolls through the menu not either A or B as the manual states. Button B has to be used to scroll back.

I used to have a few power issues with a 120ah AGM in my caravan but now that I have changed over to Hitech 120x X 2 LifePo batteries and 440w of solar panel, I have no issues and they are charged through a hitech 40a solar regulator and I make my wife's coffee with the aid of a hitech 2000w inverter, my wife is happy and I am very happy with Hitech.

Product was faulty sent back. Overcharging 20 volts.
Replacement also doing the same thing. Our Auto spark contracted them and the problem still has not resolved.
It will operate fine until the battery reaches 99% then it goes to error and over charge 20 volts it should just cut out

A lighted display would have been good as where I have fitted it, I had to use a torch to make out the display.

The 40 amp controller took a moment or two in understanding the many features you can access via the 2 buttons, but once I sorted this the system has been amazing. Coupled with the 500amp Shunt & battery monitor and 4 x 150 watts iTech solar panels I have the luxury of running my aircon for a few hours each day.

Seems OK but if the battery drops into safe mode, I would expect that the controller could action the battery into gear. Instead, there is an alternate method by iTechworld involving other batteries if you have them. I also think the connectors could be better and accomodate a higher grade. Similarly, I think having multiple solar inputs would be beneficial.
