When Friday arvo arrives, you want to know you can load the camp fridge, chuck the swag on the roof and hit the road. The iTechworld Control Hub lets you do just that, giving your 4WD one tidy place to run and charge everything you bring, starting your adventure on the right foot.

A 12V Control Panel That Tidies Up Your Setup

Most rigs start with a cig socket adapter and a fridge plugged into the back. Then you start to add the camp lights, compressors, a drone battery and needing to charge phones, and suddenly you have a spaghetti of leads everywhere. A 12V control panel fixes that problem, giving every piece of gear a proper home on its own fused circuit.

It's what the Control Hub is built for. You can plug the fridge freezer and compressor into the Anderson plugs, phones and cameras into the USB and USB-C ports and let the cig sockets and rocker switches look after the rest. It's pre-wired too in a tough aluminium housing that mounts cleanly in your canopy or wagon.

Plus, with a built-in battery monitor, you can check the charge and power draw, seeing if you have enough power to stay another night or two.

How to Choose the Right Control Hub

How you camp should decide which Control Hub is right for you. If you mostly just do overnighters and already run a DCDC charger in your dual battery system, the battery monitor version is a simple solution.

If you like to stay a little longer, choose a model with a built-in 25A or 40A DCDC charger to top up your auxiliary battery while you drive. Both DCDC models also take solar input, so you can keep charging once you park up.

What does a 12V control panel do?

A 12V control panel gives your 4WD one central location to power and charge all your camping gear, including a portable fridge, compressor, phones and lights. It fuses each circuit and usually includes a battery monitor, so you know how much power you’ve got left to run your camp.

Do I need a DCDC charger with my Control Hub?

Yes, you’ll need a DCDC charger to top up your auxiliary battery from your vehicle while you drive. If your 4WD doesn’t have one yet, a Control Hub with a built-in DCDC charger will save you space and help keep your wiring nice and simple.

Can I install a Control Hub myself?

iTechworld’s Control Hubs come pre-wired, made for DIY installation, which means you could install it yourself if you’re confident doing so. If you don’t know your way around 12V wiring, it’s best to leave it up to a qualified auto electrician to have it done safely and correctly.
