Power System Accessories

Adding a Control Hub or Power Core to your rig? Get the quality battery cables you need to connect it to your existing battery, with each cable built for a specific iTechworld system to keep setting up simple.

Battery Cables to Suit Your iTechworld System

If you're planning a canopy fit-out or getting your camping setup sorted, you'll need the right battery cables to get your power system hooked up and running. Our range of wiring kits covers both standard and premium 12V Control Hub installation cables, plus a dedicated Power Core installation cable.

For a Control Hub setup, you'll need one of two cable options depending on which setup you run. Both are 1.5m heavy duty 4AWG cables. Just check your model first, as the Premium Control Hub Installation Cable 12V is made for the Premium Control Hub, but is not compatible with earlier Control Hub models.

As for a Power Core setup, you'll want our thick 000AWG Power Core Installation Cable to connect your battery directly to your unit for full continuous output. You get a positive and a negative lead with factory crimped M10 and M8 lugs. A 250A MEGA fuse comes fitted to the positive lead already, so your circuit protection is already sorted from day one as well.

Choose Battery Connection Cables with Your Fit-Out in Mind

Where you've placed your lithium battery can also change the battery connection cables you need. This is one of the reasons why our 1.5m Control Hub cables are so popular, suiting most installs behind the driver's seat, in a canopy or under the bonnet.

Choose a shorter cable if you want to get more of your battery's power to your gear. This helps minimise voltage drop to protect your gear and prevent those frustrating premature shutdowns. Need more length? Pick up a Control Hub cable with a 4AWG or thicker cable, making sure to use secure, low resistance connections and fuse protection too.

Each Power Core lead is 1m long, so it's also worth mounting your battery close to the unit.

Power System Accessories FAQ

Which battery cables do I need for my iTechworld power system?

It depends on your power system. For a Premium Control Hub, you’ll need the Premium Control Hub Installation Cable 12V, while earlier Control Hub models use the standard Control Hub Installation Cable 12V. If you run a Power Core, you’ll need the Power Core Installation Cable 000AWG 250A Fuse.

What should I check before buying battery connection cables?

Before picking battery connection cables, check your system and model, as the Premium Control Hub cable won’t suit earlier models. Then, measure the distance between your battery and your Control Hub or Power Core to make sure the cable will reach or if you’ll need to extend it.

Are battery connection cables the same as solar power accessories?

No, they’re not. Battery connection cables link your battery to your Control Hub or Power Core, while solar power accessories get power from your solar panels into your system. If you’re adding panels, you’ll likely need both.
