Pre-wired 12V power systems for canopies, caravans and 4WDs

Building a 12V system from separate parts means mounting, wiring and fusing every component yourself. iTechworld power systems arrive with that work already done. Inverters, DC-DC chargers, battery monitors, switching and circuit protection come assembled in one case, so you connect your battery and your vehicle wiring and the system is ready to run.

The range steps up as your build does. Power Core runs a full 12V system with 240V output, Mini Power Core handles compact canopy and ute tray setups, and the Control Hub covers 12V switching, monitoring and charging. Each one pairs with a lithium battery sized to the way you travel.

Power Core: a complete 12V system in one pre-wired case

Power Core brings four separate components together in one industrial-grade case. A 2,000W PRO pure sine wave inverter with automatic transfer switching and RCD, a 40A DC-DC charger, a 40A AC charger and a 500A battery monitor. Heavy gauge copper wiring, resettable circuit breakers and pre-fitted ANL fuses run throughout, so there is no loom to build and no fuse block to wire.

2,000W continuous and 4,000W peak covers a microwave, a coffee machine, power tools or a TV from 240V. Pure sine wave output makes it safe for sensitive electronics including CPAP machines. Automatic transfer switching moves the system over to mains within 30ms when you plug in at a powered site, so nothing drops out while you set up. Run the DC-DC and AC chargers at the same time and you can put up to 80A back into the battery.

Choose left or right orientation to suit the side your battery and vehicle wiring sit on. Buy the Power Core on its own and pair it with a battery you choose, or take a complete system with a 200Ah or 300Ah Ultra Slim or Super Slim LiFePO4 battery already matched to it.

Mini Power Core: 12V power distribution for smaller builds

Mini Power Core is built for setups that do not need 240V. It combines a 40A DC-DC charger for alternator and solar charging, a 500A battery monitor and a fused 8 gang switch panel in a case measuring 440 x 160 x 320mm (L x W x H) and weighing 8.3kg. It powers up to 17 devices.

Connect your auxiliary battery through the 175A Anderson plug, add the DC-DC installation kit for the vehicle side wiring, and the 12V side of your build is finished. Outputs include 5 x 50A Anderson connectors, a 12V 10A cigarette socket, an 18W USB port and a 100W USB-C port. Match it with a slimline lithium battery to keep the whole install low profile, or buy it as a complete system with a 100Ah or 200Ah battery included.

Control Hub: 12V switching, monitoring and charging in one panel

The Premium Control Hub handles 12V distribution where an inverter is not part of the plan. A powder-coated aluminium panel holds 4 x 50A Anderson connectors that work as inputs or outputs, 2 x 12V 15A cigarette sockets, USB and USB-C charging, backlit rocker switches and a six way external fuse panel you can reach without pulling the unit off its mount. A 500A shunt battery monitor reports voltage, current draw and remaining capacity.

Three versions are available. The battery monitor and 500A shunt on its own suits builds that already have charging sorted. Add an integrated 25A or 40A DC-DC charger and your auxiliary battery charges from the alternator while you drive and from solar once you stop. Control Hub kits pair the panel with a matched lithium battery and wiring if you would rather order the system in one go.

How to choose the right 12V power system for your setup

Start with 240V. If you want to run mains appliances off the battery, Power Core is the only unit in the range with an inverter built in. If everything you run is 12V, a fridge, lights, a compressor and device charging, Mini Power Core or a Control Hub does the job for less outlay and less space.

Then look at charging. A 25A DC-DC suits smaller batteries and standard alternators. A 40A DC-DC suits higher capacity and shorter drives between camps, because it puts more back in per hour behind the wheel. For a straightforward 12V outlet panel in a drawer system or a compact canopy, the Mini Control Box covers the essentials.

Last, match the battery to the load. A 2,000W inverter can draw up to 156.3A from the battery at full output, which is why Power Core is specified for 300Ah or larger. Going smaller means shorter runtime and a heavier working load on the cells.

What you need to finish your 12V install

These systems manage, convert and monitor power. They do not store it, so every unit needs a battery unless you buy it as a complete system. Power Core also needs the Power Core Installation Cable 000AWG with 250A fuse to connect to that battery. Charging from the alternator needs the DC-DC installation kit for the vehicle side wiring, and charging from the sun needs panels or a solar blanket.

iTechworld recommends installation by a certified technician, and a licensed electrician for any 240V AC input connection. The units arrive pre-wired, which takes most of the build work off the table, but high current DC wiring and a 240V circuit still need doing properly.
