PS800 Portable Lithium Power Station

Good bit of kit did what we bought it for.

Kept my mates fridge going overnight when he had a problem with low voltage from his battery only used 25% overnight on a 60L fridge.

Charging camera battery.

Main purpose was to charge 24 volt battery via

15 amp 240v battery charger for the electric motor on the boat while on a remote NT fishing trip.

Charging the unit up via 200w solar panel in around 6 hours then charging the boat battery for around 3-4 hours before it was depleted. Then repeat the process each day. Keeping us fishing for 10 days completely off grid. Happy fishing 🤙🎣

I work remotely, making video game tech, and I'm often on the road. So usually I set up in a park with my laptop, and I'm there until sundown. ^_^

Previously I was using the ps300 with a pair of 100w blankets wired up in series.

But my new laptop draws 300-400watts when running intensive tasks and the cute little ps300 just couldn't cope.

So I upgraded to the ps800 and a 300w blanket. Works a charm. ^_^

The ps800 will run for hours by itself. Wired up with the blanket, it'll run all day.

I'm becoming a bit of a local attraction. Most people walking by are curious and wanna chat about my setup. ^_^

I also like the 400watt fast charge when plugged into mains. Doesn't need a fiddly adaptor brick either, just plugs straight in.

Highly recommend the carry bag that goes with it. Sold seperately.

Not too heavy. Though carrying the ps800, the 300w blanket, my laptop, and picnic gear is a semi-decent workout for sure. :D

One thing to watch out for: the power button can get pushed in by accident while inside the carry bag.

I realised this when I first put it in my ute, behind my car seat. A few seconds later and I heard a muffled beep. (≖_≖ )

Not sure if this hurts it, but I just keep in mind where the button is, and store it in a way it won't get pushed. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I purchased the PS800 with the intention of using it as an Uninterruptible Power Supply at home when I’m not using it with my caravan, it is perfect.

I already have a larger iTechworld power supply and this is used for the cooking and refrigeration requirements whereas the smaller unit is used for charging devices. By connecting the larger device to the alternator & the smaller unit piggybacking from the large unit, means I always have power at night. Eventually with solar panels on the roof, a dedicated Dc to Dc unit, and Anderson plugs, I won't have to juggle cables as much. I also have portable solar panels however haven't used them as much as I'm not staying in one place just yet.

The solar panel on the camper produces enough power to keep the fridge etc. running during the day but not enough to keep everything at night. After 3 - 4 days of free camping we would wake up to no lights and a defrosted fridge. We set up the 200 W solar blanket, plug the solar blanket into the power station, plug the power station into the 10 / 15 amp adapter, plug the adapter into the van and turn on the 240 V discharge on the power pack then get on with enjoying our holiday. The system works by itself to have the 120 AH battery in the camper fully charged by mid afternoon on an overcast winter day on the south coast of WA.
