Inverter Generators
Inverter generators that go where mains power doesn't
Keeping the fridge and lights running off-grid is the easy part. Running a caravan air conditioner takes real output, and that's where the size you pick matters. The iTechworld Redback range gives you four options from 2kVA to 6.5kVA, so you can match the generator to the appliances you actually run.
The Redback inverter generator range: 2kVA to 6.5kVA of pure sine wave power
Start by adding up the wattage of everything you want running at once, then check that figure against each generator's continuous output rather than its peak. Peak output covers short bursts only. Motors and compressors in air conditioners, fridges and water pumps draw a startup surge, so you need peak output to cover your running total plus the largest single surge on top.
Leave some spare capacity as well, so adding one more appliance doesn't overload the unit. Every Redback delivers pure sine wave output, which means stable 240V power that's safe for sensitive electronics. Once you've picked your size, grab the covers, leads and other generator accessories to suit.
Portable inverter generators for camping, caravans, worksites and home backup
A portable inverter generator gives you 240V power at free camps, remote sites and during blackouts. With the right setup it can run compatible caravan appliances, power tools and selected household essentials without mains electricity.
Inverter technology adjusts engine speed as demand changes, so you burn less fuel and get quieter running under light loads than a conventional fixed-speed generator. Petrol also means power after dark and in cloudy weather, though every generator must be run outdoors in a well-ventilated area, never inside a van, tent or annexe. If you want a fuel-free option for lighter loads, solar generators and lithium batteries are the better fit.
